My Name is Lukas and I am a Composer and Sound Designer, as well as an Organist and Trombonist based in Munich. I create music for a variety of media from Films and Video Games to Theater Plays and Sound Installations. Drawing inspiration from a multitude of different musical styles and genre influences, I create sound worlds blurring the lines between acoustic and electronic music, conventional and experimental approaches and everything in between!
I am studying composition for film and media at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich - refining my knowledge and collecting experience from my Professors as well as projects with the University for Film and Television (HFF), the Technical University (TUM), Mediadesign-Hochschule (MDH) and August Everding Theaterakademie in Munich.
The forest is dying. Milo, a gentle but very old and frail forest creature will leave nothing untried in order to bring back the sun and save his home, with the help of his magical floral instrument.
Collaboration with students from the Mediadesign University Munich.
Based on the german folklore of the pied piper of Hamelin, this souls-like action RPG sat out to test the limits of what is possible with a small team in just over a month of time.
Dark atmosphere, gritty combat and a grotesque sense of mystery also found their way into the music and sound design, all done by myself.
Voiceover & Vocals: Hannah Borchert
Created on the Semester Game Jam of the Technical University Munich, this project had a fixed 40 hour time limit.
In that time the team had to come up with the concept and build it from the ground up, including the production of the music and the sound design by Fabiola Wörter.
Everything was created on location with a laptop, tiny keyboard and a microphone with which we recorded the choir!
'For the sake of avoiding silence'
Edit from my electro-acoustic live performance featuring Fabiola Wörter at the class concert of our uni course.
The question at the core of the concert was: why do we even write music, and would we continue writing, would no-one ever hear it.
All sounds were created from the live vocals in real-time using lots of Ableton effects.
Life Performance featuring Maximilian Kremser, analog Synths
and a lot of Cassette Tape.
We put the piece under the topic of Flashbacks, that break our continuous non-perception of existance,
forcing us to become conscious for just a brief instance, like a lensflare in a camera.
